SureNav is a parody project. The route you just saw was invented from start to finish by a language model.
SureNav is a parody of our blind trust in AI output. It looks like a professional navigation app, but there is no navigation engine inside.
The route is 100% generated by a language model via the Groq service. The app has no map data, no routing engine and no GPS. The streets, turns, times and distances are all made up — and therefore completely unreliable.
Language models produce text that sounds confident and plausible even when it does not match reality. This is called a hallucination. The model does not know the real streets between your start and destination — it simply writes whatever “looks right”.
Yes. Real navigation apps and AI assistants (for example Google Maps with Gemini) can also produce inaccurate or invented answers. The main difference is how loudly it's talked about. SureNav says it out loud.
